Iraklio ist weltberühmt für seine historischen Stätten, allen voran der Palast von Knossos, das Herz der minoischen Zivilisation. Die lebendige Altstadt mit ihren engen Gassen, traditionellen Tavernen und modernen Geschäften lädt zum Entdecken lokaler Produkte und Souvenirs ein. Zudem ist die Stadt der wichtigste Verkehrsknotenpunkt der Insel mit optimaler Anbindung an das Festland und andere Regionen Kretas.
Einkaufen im Stadtzentrum
Das Zentrum von Iraklio bietet eine vielfältige Auswahl an Einkaufsmöglichkeiten.
